BACKOUT The BACKOUT program is used to restore Win Change for WMC backout files. Normally, the restoring of backout files is done using the WCHG program. The BACKOUT program is provided in case a change corrupts Windows and Windows will no longer start. The BACKOUT program is a DOS program and has very limited functionality. The BACKOUT program will restore ALL backout files, you will NOT be able to select backout files to restore. It is all or none, when using the BACKOUT program. JRE Enterprises recommends that you always create backout files when using Win Change for WMC. To insure that recovery from a bad change can be done, you should also create a bootable diskette with BACKOUT.EXE on it. To invoke BACKOUT.EXE, at the DOS command prompt type: BACKOUT.EXE ?????? where ?????? is the complete path to the Win Change for WMC directory. Example: BACKOUT.EXE c:\wchg3 where c:\wchg3 is the drive and directory where Win Change for WMC was installed.
